At East End Massage, I practice Integrative Neuromuscular Therapy (INT), a structurally focused approach to treatment of pain. INT addresses the origin of pain, where traditional medical care too often only focuses on masking the symptom. Pain is manifested because of an underlying cause; merely treating the symptom leaves the cause unresolved.
With INT, I find simple solutions to health issues that often puzzle other health care practitioners. I look at the whole body and treat the root of the pain, correcting issues that have caused it and preventing it from returning. The procedures are non-surgical, non-invasive, and non-chiropractic.
To address clients’ improper structural and biomechanical patterns, Paul St. John pioneered a technique to measure and chart observations about the body. Depending on your needs, in your first session I may analyze your posture and design a comprehensive program designed to guide you through rehabilitation. My goal is not only to eliminate pain, but to educate clients on ways to prevent recurrence of symptoms. Every client is unique and responds differently to treatment, but most notice immediate effects, with improvement or even resolution of symptoms within several sessions.
